In the upper part of the obverse is the Trident (the small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine), encircled by the inscriptions: NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE (top), FIVE HRYVNIAS (bottom), with the logo of the Banknote Printing and Minting Works of the National Bank of Ukraine to the right; above, the Three Holy Hierarchs Church of the Residence of Bukovinian Metropolitans against the backdrop of the Khotyn Fortress; in the foreground is a composition: on a hill, sheep and a musician playing a trembita, below which are stylized elements: fragments of the musical notation for the song 'Red Rue', a Bukovinian ornament, and a flower; to the right above the trembita is the coin's year of issue - 2015.
