Reverse Around the edge of the coin is a wreath of laurel branches. In the central part, an inscription in five lines reads 'DIEZ / 10 / CENTAVOS / DE / LEMPIRA', which translates as 'ten centavos or 1/10 of a lempira'.
Obverse Around the edge of the coin are decorative raised dots. Along the arc of the edge on the left, top, and right is the name of the country, the Republic of Honduras, in Spanish: 'REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS'. At the bottom is the year of minting '2010'. In the central part is the coat of arms of Honduras. The basis of the composition is an oval, the center of which features an equilateral triangle over water with a volcano inscribed within it, situated between two towers. Above the volcano, the sun rises, and a rainbow arches between the towers. Around the entire circumference of the oval is the inscription 'REPca DE . HONDURAS . LIBRE .SOBERANA . INDEPENDIENTE . 15 SEPTbre 1821', which translates to 'Republic of Honduras, Free, Sovereign and Independent. September 15, 1821'. Above the oval is a quiver of arrows, from which two cornucopias extend. Below the oval are crossed hammers and a mountainous landscape with oak and pine trees.
