Along the lower edge arc is the Danish inscription: «20 KRONER» - 20 Kroner.

Along the edge of the coin from left to right runs the text: «MARGRETHE II ♥ DANMARKS DRONNING», which translates from Danish as «Margrethe II Queen of Denmark». In the lower part, along the edge arc, is the year of issue 2004.
