    In the central part, the Star of Solomon. Below is the year of issue: 1915, framed by dots. Around the edge from left to right is the country name in English: BRITISH WEST AFRICA. Along the rim of the coin are raised elements in the form of denticles.

    To the left, above, and to the right of the central hole is text in English: 'ONE HALF PENNY' - half penny, framed by arched patterns. Above it is a depiction of the British crown. Below the central hole is Arabic script. In the left part, along the rim of the coin, is the Latin inscription: 'GEORGIVS V', on the right - 'REX ET IND: IMP:' - George V King and Emperor of India. The edge of the coin features a denticulated relief.
