Obverse In the central part, the left-facing profile of George V, King of Great Britain and Ireland. Along the upper edge of the coin, from left to right, runs a Latin inscription: 'GEORGIVS V DEI GRA: REX ET IND: IMP:' - George V by the Grace of God, King and Emperor of India. The edge of the coin features decorative raised beads.
