    A six-pointed star is described around the central hole. The inscription 'BRITISH WEST AFRICA ∙1932∙', broken by the star's rays into six segments, follows the curve of the coin's edge. The rim is decorated with decorative denticles.

    Central hole. Around it, the inscription 'ONE TENTH OF A PENNY' in English above and 'عُشِر الپَنّي' in Arabic below. Along the rim, the Latin inscription 'GEORGE V KING AND EMPEROR OF INDIA' is split into two parts: the monarch's name 'GEORGIVS V' on the left and the title 'REX ET IND: IMP:' on the right, with a stylized ornament below each part. The British Imperial Crown is at the top. The coin's edge features decorative raised denticles.
