Two wheat ears are depicted on the left and right. Below - the year of minting: "1936". The edges of the rim feature a decorative raised pattern of semicircles.

In the central part - the numeral 1/2: "١/٢". Along the rim, inscriptions in Arabic: at the top: "الجمهورية السورية" - "SYRIAN REPUBLIC", at the bottom: "نصف قرش" - "HALF PIASTRE" and the year of minting: "١٩٣٦" - "1936". The edges of the rim feature a decorative raised pattern of semicircles.
