The Latin legend 'GEORGIVS VI REX ET IND: IMP:' (George VI King and Emperor of India) is split along the rim: the monarch's name 'GEORGIVS VI' on the left and his title 'REX ET IND: IMP:' on the right, with a stylized ornament below each part. The edge is decorated with raised ornamental teeth.
