    The side is divided by a straight vertical line into two unequal parts. In the larger right part is a half-profile portrait of the Hungarian painter Tivadar Csontváry Kosztka facing right. On the right shoulder is the engraver's monogram. Along the edge of the coin is the inscription: 'CSONTVÁRY KOSZTKA TIVADAR', the artist's name in Hungarian. And the years of his life 1853-1919, arranged in two lines.
  • Obverse
    The side is divided into four unequal parts by a fragment of a double door, resembling a cross. In the upper left part is a three-line inscription: 'MAGYAR NÉPKÖZTÁRSASÁG', which translates from Hungarian as 'Hungarian People's Republic'. In the upper right fragment is a two-line inscription: '200 FORINT' - 200 forints. At the bottom left is a shield with three flags, below the shield near the edge is the engraver's monogram. In the lower right fragment is 1977 (year of mintage) and the abbreviation 'BP.' - indicating the Budapest Mint.
