    Along the lower edge, the French inscription "CONGO BELGE" — "Belgian Congo". In the central part — an image of a palm tree. Beneath its crown, to the left of the trunk is the number 50, to the right — the symbols "Ces", together denoting "fifty centimes". Below is the year of minting "1927".

    Around the edge of the coin — decorative raised dots. Along the rim are inscriptions in Dutch "ALBERT KONING", "DER BELGEN", which translate as "Albert, King of the Belgians". In the central part is a left-facing profile portrait of the king. The letters "JUL LAGAE" below the neck truncation — the signature of engraver Jules Lagae.
