Reverse
A six-pointed star is described around the central hole. The inscription 'BRITISH WEST AFRICA ∙1926∙' is placed along the rim, broken into six segments by the rays of the star. The edge is decorated with decorative denticles.
Obverse
Central hole. Around it, the inscription 'ONE TENTH OF A PENNY' in English above and in Arabic 'عُشِرالپَنّي' below. Along the rim, the Latin inscription 'GEORGIVS V REX ET IND: IMP:' (George V King and Emperor of India) is split into two parts: 'GEORGIVS V' on the left and 'REX ET IND: IMP:' on the right, with a stylized ornament under each part. A crown, symbol of the British Empire, is at the top. The edge of the coin features decorative raised denticles.
