    The central part features the coat of arms of the SADR: two crossed rifles, above which are a crescent moon and a five-pointed star. In the upper part, along the edge of the coin, is text in Spanish: "REPUBLICA ARABE SAHARAUI DEMOCRATICA" - "SAHRAWI ARAB DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC". Below is the year of issue: "2013".
  • Obverse
    At the top, the denomination in Spanish: "1000 PESETAS". The central part features a left-facing profile image of a Tyrannosaurus. In the lower part, along the edge of the coin, is an inscription in Spanish: "ANIMALES PREHISTORICOS", which translates as: "PREHISTORIC ANIMALS".
