In the central part, within a circle, the numeral: 1. Below it, an inscription in Arabic: «دينارواحد» - one dinar. Around the edge of the coin, an inscription in Arabic, separated by a rosette: «البـــنـك الــركــزى الجزائـزى» - Central Bank of Algeria.
Obverse
In the central part, within a wreath of a wheat ear and an olive branch, is depicted the Monument of Glory and Martyrdom. Below it, the number: 25. In the lower part, along the curve of the coin's edge, are the dates: 1987 - 1962 - the year of minting and the year of the end of the Algerian War of Independence, respectively.
