    In the central part is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain wearing a crown. In the left part, following the curve of the coin's edge, is the monarch's name 'ELIZABETH II'. On the right are the country name and year of minting 'AUSTRALIA 1985'. In the neck truncation are the initials of the British sculptor Raphael David Maklouf - 'RDM'.
