Reverse In the central part, a geometric pattern formed by intersecting diagonal lines. Above it, a large numeral '10' and the symbol 'C', denoting '10 cents'.
Obverse At the top, between two raised horizontal lines, the country name 'ARUBA' in Dutch. Below, above a horizontal line, the mint year '1986' on the left and the national coat of arms on the right: on a heraldic shield, framed at the bottom by two olive branches, lies a lion. The shield is conventionally divided into four quarters by a three-dimensional cross. The upper left quarter features an aloe plant; the upper right quarter features Mount Hooiberg; the lower left quarter features a handshake; the lower right quarter features a ship's steering wheel.
