Above them is the inscription 'ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F: D:' — the full Latin text 'Elizabeth II Dei Gratia Regina Fidei Defensor', English translation: 'Elizabeth II by the Grace of God Queen Defender of the Faith'. The beginning and end of the inscription are separated by a cross. In the central part, the right-facing profile of the young Queen Elizabeth II.
