Reverse In the central part, within a circle of ornament, a two-line inscription '2 KREUZER' (2 Kreuzer). Below it the mint year '1812∙', under which is a pattern. Above, near the rim, a quatrefoil. Along the arc of the coin's edge, an inscription in German: 'SCHEIDEMÜNZE DER WIENER WAEHRUNG' (Small change coin of the Viennese currency). The edge of the coin features decorative raised denticles.
Obverse In the center is the right-facing profile of Emperor of the Austrian Empire, King of Hungary and Bohemia, Francis II, wearing a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon. Along the circumference near the rim, with denticle-like elements, an inscription in German: left, top, and right 'FRANZ KAIS∙V∙OEST∙KÖN∙Z∙HU∙BÖ∙GAL∙U∙LO∙' (Francis Emperor of Austria, King of Hungary, Bohemia, Galicia and Lodomeria), at the bottom the Latin letter 'S', separated from above by an arabesque.
