In the central part, within a circle of silver-colored metal, an image of the island-city of Mexcaltitán; below it, its name in Spanish in a semicircle: «Isla De Mexcaltitlan». Above the city, the year of issue 2007. Along the upper edge arc, the name of the state of Nayarit in Spanish: «ESTADO DE NAYARIT». Along the lower edge arc, the inscription: «$100» - 100 pesos. Along the left edge arc of the coin, the Mexico City Mint mark. The coin's rim features decorative elements in the form of dots.
Obverse
In the central part, within a circle of silver-colored metal, the coat of arms of Mexico. To the left, top, and right along the rim, the country name United Mexican States in Spanish: «ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS». To the left, bottom, and right along the rim, a wreath of oak and laurel leaves.
