In the upper part, along the edge arc, the country name in French: 'TUNISIE' - Tunisia, flanked by the Paris Mint marks - a cornucopia and a wing. In the lower part, along the edge arc, an inscription in Arabic: 'الحماية التونسية' - free Tunisia. Around the coin's edge are relief elements in the form of teeth.
