In the central part is the logo of the UEFA Euro 2012 Championship. To the lower right of it is the inscription: "TM". Below is text in English in three lines: "UEFA", "EURO 2012", and "POLAND-UKRAINE". Along the upper edge of the coin from left to right is an inscription in Ukrainian: "ФІНАЛЬНИЙ ТУРНІР ЧЕМПІОНАТУ ЄВРОПИ З ФУТБОЛУ 2012 р." (translation: Final Tournament of the UEFA European Football Championship 2012).
Obverse
In the central part is the numeral "1", above it the country name in Ukrainian: "УКРАЇНА". Above the country name is the Coat of Arms of Ukraine. Below the numeral is a semicircular inscription in Ukrainian: "ГРИВНЯ" (Hryvnia). The coin's edge features an ornament executed in national traditions. On the right side of the ornament is the mintmark of the Kyiv Mint, below it is the year of issue: 2012.
