In the central part, the inscription for 2 Danish skilling in 3 lines in Danish: "II SKILLING DANSKE". To the left and right of the Roman numeral "II" are two flowers. Below is the year of issue: "1761". Decorative raised denticles are placed along the edge of the rim.
Obverse
In the central part is depicted the crowned royal double monogram: a crown at the top, below it two letters: "FR" from left to right and the exact same mirrored from right to left, meaning: "FREDERIK". To the right, below, and to the left along the edge is text in Latin: "D.G. DAN.NOR.V.G.REX" - "BY THE GRACE OF GOD, KING OF DENMARK, NORWAY, THE WENDS AND THE GOTHS".
