    Along the upper edge arc, the country name 'SOUTHERN RHODESIA'. At the bottom, the year of minting '1938', separated on both sides by raised dots. In the central part, a round hole is surrounded by relief dots. Around it, the inscription ONE PENNY.
  • Obverse
    Around the edge of the coin are decorative raised denticles. Along the coin's edge arc on the right, bottom, and left is the English text 'GEORGE VI KING EMPEROR'. At the top is a large Imperial Crown. In the central part, a round hole with relief dot elements around its perimeter. Surrounding it, two layers of 5 petals each form a flower. Between the petals are elements shaped like pointed arrowheads.
