Below it, an image of a sickle and hammer within a wreath of leaves. The coin's edge is decorated with decorative reeding.

In the central part, an artistic depiction of a Condor sitting on a rock. To the left, top, and right along the rim, the country name in Spanish: 'REPUBLICA DE CHILE' - Republic of Chile. Along the rim is a toothed (reeded) relief.
