    Three five-pointed stars are depicted along the upper edge arc. In the central part, there is a three-line inscription in Ottoman Turkish: "ضرب في مصر", which translates to: "STRUCK IN EGYPT". Below is the year of accession of the Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II in Indo-Arabic numerals: "١٢٩٣" - 1293 AH (Islamic calendar) or 1876 AD (Gregorian). At the top is the number: "۱۷" - "17", signifying the 17th year of his reign or 1892 AD. Decorative raised denticles are placed along the rim.

    In the upper part, along the coin's edge arc, are seven five-pointed stars. The central part features the personal cipher (tughra) of the Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II. Below is the inscription for 1 Qirsh in Ottoman Turkish: "۱ش". In the lower part, along the coin's edge arc, are depictions of rose bushes. Decorative raised denticles are placed along the rim.
