    In the central part of the reverse is a relief depiction of the Sun with a face and rays of varying lengths. Below the Sun, the years 1811-2011 are framed by dots. Along the upper edge of the coin from left to right is an inscription in Spanish: «BICENTENARIO DE LOS HECHOS HISTÓRICOS», which translates to: «Bicentennial of the Historical Event».

    In the central part, a group of mounted and foot soldiers is depicted, with a wounded fighter lying on the ground. To the right of the wounded soldier is an inscription in Spanish: «Batalla de Las Piedras», which translates to: «Battle of Las Piedras». On the left, top, and right, near the rim, is the country's name, the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, in Spanish: «REPÚBLICA ORIENTAL DEL URUGUAY». In the lower part, along the edge of the coin, is the inscription: «$1.000» - 1000 pesos. In the left part, along the edge of the coin, are decorative elements in the form of dots.
