At the top, within a medallion, is a portrait of P.L. Shupyk, with the text: "NATIONAL", followed by stylized "MEDICAL" (the letter M is red, as if the color of blood: applied using tampography) "ACADEMY / OF POSTGRADUATE EDUCATION / NAMED AFTER P. L. SHUPYK"; at the bottom is a book, flanked by the years: "1918" and "2018".
