Reverse
In the upper part of the reverse is the crown of the Russian Empire. Below it, the denomination and monetary unit are indicated on two lines: 25 KOPEKS. Further down is a decorative divider in the form of two oppositely directed ornamental lines with a small circle between them, featuring a raised dot in the center. Below the divider is the abbreviation "S.P.B." (Saint Petersburg Mint). Along the left edge of the coin is a laurel branch, and along the right edge, an oak branch. The branches are tied together at the base with a ribbon, the knot of which forms a bow. The coin's edge is decorated with a toothed rim.
Obverse
In the central part is the State Emblem of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle with wings spread and lowered. Above the eagle's heads is the imperial crown. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow — a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). The eagle holds thunderbolts and a torch in its right talon and a laurel wreath in its left, intertwined with the ribbon of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. Below the ribbon are the letters: "N" on the left and "G" on the right. These are the initials of mintmaster Nikolai Grachev. Below the initials is the year of minting "1827", flanked on both sides by six-pointed stars. The rim is decorated with short denticles.
