Below the right rear flipper are the letters 'SD' — the engraver's mark of Stuart Devlin. For the islanders, the turtle is a symbol of fishing and maritime industries.
Obverse
In the left part, following the curve of the coin's edge, is the country name in English: 'CAYMAN ISLANDS'. On the right is the inscription 'ELIZABETH II'. The year of minting '1992' is at the bottom. In the central part is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a tiara.
