  • Reverse
The center of the reverse is occupied by the lesser coat of arms of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle, both heads of which bear crowns. A third, larger crown is positioned above and between them. All three crowns are connected by a ribbon. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow — a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the left). A chain bearing the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called encircles the shield. The coats of arms on the wings (four on each wing) are: Kazan, Polish, Taurida, Astrakhan, Siberian, Georgian, Kiev and Novgorod, Vladimir. In its right talon the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left an orb. Below the coat of arms, an inscription runs in an arc from left to right: РꙊБЛЬ ✿ 1913 Г. The rim is decorated with patterned teeth.
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse features the left-facing profile of Russian Emperor Nicholas II. Along the left edge, an inscription runs in an arc: Б.М. НИКОЛАЙ II ИМПЕРАТОРЪ. Along the right edge is the continuation of the first inscription: И САМОДЕРЖЕЦЪ ВСЕРОСС. The rim is decorated with teeth pointing towards the center.
