Along the upper rim, the Spanish inscription and date: "500 PESETAS 2004". Along the lower rim: "NATURALEZA SAHARAUI" (Saharan Nature). The central part of the reverse features a relief image of two fennec foxes.
Obverse
Along the rim, the Spanish text: "REPUBLICA ARABE SAHARAUI DEMOCRATICA" (Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic). The central part depicts the coat of arms of the SADR. Below it, a ribbon bears the motto of the Polisario Front in Arabic: "حرية ديمقراطية وحدة" (Freedom, Democracy, Unity).
