In the upper part of the obverse is the Trident (the small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine), with the inscription NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE along the arc of the coin's edge; against the background of a stylized composition - a grand piano, a treble clef, and a musical staff, is a portrait of P. I. Tchaikovsky, below which is the denomination - 2 HRYVNIAS and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine; at the bottom is the year of minting 2013.
