    Around the edge of the coin are decorative raised dots. Along the upper arc is the name of the Kazakh national ritual 'Besikke salu', which translates as 'Laying in the Cradle', below it the mint year '2006'. In the central part is a woman placing a child into a cradle.

    Along the rim is the country name: on the left in Kazakh 'KAZAKSTAN RESPUBLIKASY', on the right in Russian 'RESPUBLIKA KAZAKHSTAN'. In the central part, the national coat of arms is depicted against a background of national ornaments. On the coat of arms: a shanyrak (the upper domed part of a yurt) in the form of a crosspiece inscribed in a circle, from which support rays radiate, surrounded on the sides by mythical winged horses, tulpars. At the top between the wings is a five-pointed star, at the bottom the country name 'KAZAKSTAN'. Below the coat of arms is the large number 50, and below that the inscription 'TENGE', highlighted with relief elements in the form of dots.
