In the central part is a double-headed eagle with spread wings; the eagle's heads are in a halo, above them a crown, on its chest the crowned coat of arms of Styria. Along the arc of the coin's edge is a Latin inscription on the right and left: 'ARCHID∙AUST∙DUX BURG & STYR∙1753∙' (Archduchess of Austria, Duchess of Burgundy and Styria 1753). Below, the numeral 1 is framed by a relief pattern. The coin's edge features decorative raised denticles.
