    In the central part is an oil palm tree - the national symbol of Congo - and a two-line inscription divided by the tree: '1 F' for 1 franc and the year of issue: '1925'. Along the lower edge is the country name in Dutch: 'BELGISCH CONGO' (Belgian Congo), ending with two five-pointed stars. The coin's edge is decorated with decorative reeding.
  • Obverse
    In the central part of the coin is the left-facing profile of King Albert I of the Belgians. Below it is the designer's name: 'Jul Lagae' (Jules Lagae). Starting from the left side, an inscription runs along the edge: 'ALBERT KONING DER BELGEN', which translates from Dutch as 'Albert King of the Belgians'. The rim features a toothed relief pattern.
