    In the central part, a left-facing profile bust of Liberty, wearing a headband inscribed in Spanish 'LIBERTAD' (Liberty). Below the bust, the inscription 'TASSET' - the monogram of engraver Ernest Paulin Tasset. Along the left and right arcs of the coin, the inscription in Spanish: '50 CENTESIMOS DE FRANCO' - 50 centesimos; to the right along the rim, the year of issue: '1891'. The coin's edge features decorative elements in the form of rounded denticles.

    In the central part, the coat of arms of the Dominican Republic. On the motto ribbon, the inscription in Spanish: 'DIOS PATRIA LIBERTAD', translated: 'God. Fatherland. Liberty'. Below the coat of arms, the letter 'A' - the mint mark of the Paris Mint. To its left is a flower, to its right – a symbol of authority (a fasces with an axe). To the left, top, and right along the rim, the country name in Spanish: 'REPUBLICA. DOMINICANA'. In the lower part along the arc of the rim, the weight of 2.5 grams is indicated: 'GRAM. 2 ½' and the fineness 'LEI.835'. The inscriptions are separated by two five-pointed stars. The coin's edge features decorative elements in the form of rounded denticles.
