    In the central part, the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II. On the truncation of the portrait's neck, the monogram 'RDM' of engraver Raphael David Maklouf. Below the truncation, the manufacturer's (mint) mark 'PM' for Pobjoy. To the left and right along the rim, inscriptions in English: 'ELIZABETH II', which translates as 'Elizabeth II', and 'COOK ISLANDS'. In the lower part along the edge of the coin, the year of mintage 1990.
