The edge is decorated with decorative denticles.
Obverse In the central part, the coat of arms of the Portuguese colony of Angola is depicted: an armillary sphere with five towers; on the sphere - a heraldic shield, in the left half of which are five shields, in the right - an elephant and a zebra, below - waves. In the upper part, along the arc of the coin's edge, the colony's name 'Angola' in Portuguese - 'ANGOLA', below - '2$50' (2.50 escudos), left and right are relief flowers. The coin's edge features decorative raised denticles.
