The chest bears the inscription 'FRAGILE!', which translates from Hungarian as 'Fragile!'. The inscription along the upper rim reads: 'VEDD A VILAGOT!' - translating from Hungarian as 'Protect the World!'.
Obverse
In the upper part, following the curve of the coin's rim: 'MAGYAR KOZTARSASAG', which translates from Hungarian as the Republic of Hungary. Below the inscription, near the left rim is 'BP.' - indicating the Budapest Mint, near the right rim is 1994 - the year of minting. In the central part '1000 FORINT' - 1000 forints. Below is a stylized depiction of a bird facing right, and beneath it, near the lower rim, a fish facing left.
