    The inner circle is shaped as a twelve-sided polygon. The central part of the reverse features a relief image of a flying duck. Below it is the issue date 2008. To its right is the engraver's monogram 'RRC'. In the upper part, following the curve of the coin's edge, is the text: 'CANADA' - the country's name in English, and below 'DOLLAR' - '1 dollar'.
  • Obverse
    The inner circle is shaped as a twelve-sided polygon. To the left and right along the edge is the text 'ELIZABETH II D. G. REGINA'. Translation: 'Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, Queen'. In the center is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II (the so-called fourth type), facing right. On the Queen's right shoulder is the monogram of the portrait's author. Below is the monogram of designer Susanna Blunt.
