    In the central part is a double-headed eagle with spread wings; the eagle's heads are in a halo, above them a crown; on its breast is the crowned coat of arms of Lorraine and Tuscany; in its right talon is a sword, in its left a scepter. Along the edge of the coin is a Latin inscription to the right and left: 'IN TE DOMINE SPERAVI∙1760' (In thee, O Lord, have I put my trust 1760). At the end of the legend is a mark in the shape of the Latin letter 'X'. Below, the numeral 3 is framed by the eagle's tail feathers. Above the feather on the left is the Latin letter 'H', on the right 'A' (mint mark of Hall, Tyrol). The edge of the coin features decorative raised denticles.

    In the center is the right-facing profile of Holy Roman Emperor Francis I Stephen, Duke of Lorraine. Along the edge of the coin is a Latin text: to the left and right 'FRANC∙D:G∙R∙I∙S∙A∙GER∙IER∙REX' (Francis, by the Grace of God, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, King of Germany and Jerusalem). The edge of the coin features decorative raised denticles.
