Reverse A wide band with a national ornament follows the curve of the coin's edge. In the upper part of the band, the two-line inscription 'BANQUE DES ETATS DE L'AFRIQUE CENTRALE', which translates to 'Bank of the Central African States'. In the center, the large numeral 100, below it the inscription 'FRANCS', meaning 'one hundred francs'. At the bottom, the year of minting '1984'.
Obverse Following the curve of the coin's edge at the top is the country name Republic of Gabon in French 'REPUBLIQUE GABONAISE'. To the right, the symbols 'G.B.L. BAZOR' — the engraver's mark of Lucien Bazor. In the central part, an image of three addax antelopes in the savanna.
