Reverse
The central part features a multi-colored image; on the left, a butterflyfish facing right, and on the right, a seahorse facing left, both depicted against a sea background. Above is the World Wildlife Fund logo - a relief image of a bear within a closed rectangle, with the abbreviation "WWF" (World Wide Fund for Nature) below it. On the body of the seahorse on the right are the digits "2015" indicating the year of issue. Along the upper edge in an arc, from left to right, is the inscription "GRANDE BARRIERE CORAIL", which translates from French as "Great Barrier Reef".
Obverse
The central part features the coat of arms of the Central African Republic. The top and bottom of the coat of arms end with two ribbons bearing inscriptions. The upper ribbon has an inscription in the Sango language "Zo kwe zo", which translates to "Every person is a person". The lower ribbon has an inscription in French "UNITE, DIGNITE, TRAVAIL", which translates to "Unity, Dignity, Work". In the upper part, along the edge of the coin in an arc from left to right, is the inscription "REPUBLIQUE CENTRAFRICAINE", which translates from French as "Central African Republic". In the lower part, along the edge of the coin in an arc, is the inscription "100 FRANCS CFA", which translates from French as "100 CFA francs". Stars are depicted on the left and right.
