    In the central part are three female figures, cut from a sheet of paper. On the edge of the sheet is an inscription in English: 'EMANCIPATION'. Below the right figure is a stylized number 50, with the UN emblem depicted inside the digit 5. In the upper part, along the arc of the coin's edge, is text in English: 'NATIONS UNITED FOR PEACE'. Along the arc of the lower edge is the inscription: '$1'. To the left of it is the year 1945, to the right – 1995.

    In the central part is the coat of arms of the Republic of Liberia. To the left of it is the number '19', to the right '95' - the year of mintage 1995. In the upper part, along the arc of the coin's edge, is the country name in English: 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA'. In the lower part, along the arc of the coin's edge, separated by dots, is the inscription in English: '1 DOLLAR'. The coin's edge features decorative elements in the form of denticles.
