    Along the upper rim, the name of the endangered animal, the Altai snowcock or mountain turkey, is inscribed: on the left in Kazakh "Алтай ұлары", on the right in Latin "Tetraogallus altaicus". In the central part of the reverse is a relief image of two snowcocks. Above the head of the left one is the year of issue "2006".
  • Obverse
    Along the rim are inscriptions in Kazakh: on the left "...ҚАЗАҚСТАН", on the right "ҰЛТТЫҚ БАНКI...", which translate as "NATIONAL BANK OF KAZAKHSTAN". In the central part is the national coat of arms: a shanyrak (the upper domed part of a yurt) in the form of a crosspiece inscribed in a circle, from which support rays radiate, flanked by mythical winged horses, tulpars. Above, between the wings, is a five-pointed star; below is the name of the country "ҚАЗАҚСТАН". Below the coat of arms is the large number 50, flanked on both sides by relief national ornaments; below it is the inscription "ТЕҢГЕ", highlighted with relief elements in the form of dots. To the right of the coat of arms is the "ҚҰБ" mintmark of the Kazakhstan Mint.
