  • Reverse
    In the central part of the reverse is the raised emblem of the United Nations. It depicts an azimuthal equidistant polar projection of the continents, framed on both sides by olive branches crossed at the bottom. Above the emblem is an inscription in Spanish: 'NACIONES UNIDAS' (United Nations).
  • Obverse
    At the top is the coat of arms of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. In the center are two crossed elephant tusks. To the left of the crossing point is the metal fineness 'LEY 9999', to the right the year of mintage '1970', and below the number '25'. Under the left tusk is an oval with the number '1000'. Along the rim are inscriptions in Spanish: on the left and right the country name 'REP. DE GUINEA EKUATORIAL' (Republic of Equatorial Guinea), at the bottom the inscription 'PESETAS GUINEANAS' (Guinean Pesetas), flanked on both sides by six-pointed stars.
