    In the upper part, a set of spiral-shaped elements and an image of a cherub, below it the euro sign and the numeral '€ 5'. In the lower part, a shell with gemstones, above it the inscription in Portuguese 'O BARROCO' (Baroque).

    In the central part, within a circle inscribed in a five-pointed star, a decorative ornament with curved and counter-curved forms characteristic of the Baroque style. To the right, the coat of arms of Portugal, below the sign of the European Coin Programme. Along the rim inscriptions: on the left the year of issue '2018', at the top the country name in Portuguese 'PORTUGAL' (Portugal), at the bottom – 'incm' (stands for 'engraver') and the engraver's mark of António Marinho 'A. Marinho'.
