The coin is heptagonal in shape.
Obverse
To the left and right along the edge is the text 'ELIZABETH THE SECOND'. In the center is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II. Below the truncation of the shoulder is the monogram 'PM' - the mintmark of the Pobjoy Mint. At the bottom, following the curve of the coin's edge, is the year of issue 1975. The coin is heptagonal in shape.
