Along the lower edge arc, the country name Belgian Congo in Dutch: 'BELGISCH CONGO★★'. In the central part of the reverse, a relief image of a palm tree. Beneath its crown, to the left of the trunk, the numeral 50, to the right the letters 'Cen' — 'fifty centimes', below the year of issue '1926'.
Obverse
Around the edge of the coin — decorative raised dots. In the left part along the coin's edge arc, an inscription in Dutch 'ALBERT KONING', on the right 'DER BELGEN' — translated as 'Albert King of the Belgians'. In the central part, a left-facing profile portrait of the king. Below, the letters 'JUL LAGAE' — the engraver's mark of Jules Lagae.
