The central part features the coat of arms of the Republic of Liberia. To its left is the number '19', to its right '94' - the year of mintage 1994. Along the upper edge of the coin is the country name in English: 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA'. Along the lower edge of the coin, separated by dots, is the inscription in English: '1 DOLLAR'. The coin's rim features decorative tooth-like elements.
