    In the central part, within a circle, there is a hole framed by four crossed tusks. Above it is the numeral: 5. Along the upper edge arc is the country name in English: 'EAST AFRICA & UGANDA PROTECTORATES'. Along the lower edge arc is the year of issue: '1912', flanked by dots. The coin's edge is decorated with decorative denticles.
  • Obverse
    In the central part, there is a hole framed by arched plant-like ornaments. Above it is the Crown of the British Empire. Below it is the text in English in two lines: 'TEN CENT'. In the left part, along the edge arc, is the inscription in Latin: 'GEORGIVS V', on the right - 'REX ET IND: IMP:'. Along the rim is a toothed relief pattern.
